Changes:

There's now a popup whenever you try to leave the controls menu without having saved your changes.

When playing with a controller, the stick is now less sensitive than before with up/down movement.

There's now full analog movement when playing with a controller on the world map.

(X2 Engine Related) The game now displays when you've selected a (different) control method.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed a bug where selecting Assist Mode causes an error when trying to (re)load a level.

Fixed being able to softlock yourself in the Thwomp chase section of 1-5 in Carefree mode.

Fixed a bug where you would stay in Daredevil despite changing the difficulty through settings.

Fixed a bug where the logo would sometimes not appear on the title screen/main menu.

Fixed a bug where the fast travel could sometimes be opened while on the main menu.

Fixed a crash if the player died in the rift level while in multiplayer.

Fixed an error occurring if the player ran out of time in the rift level.

Fixed Time Trials in 1-8 being impossible to complete due to an invisible wall.

Fixed a bug where the player would not bonk correctly with the rollin' badge when standing on top of an NPC.

Fixed the key coin HUD in Time Trials.

Fixed missing terrain whenever the multiplayer exclusive cutscene plays in 1-1.

Removed some spots where you could unintentionally go above the terrain in 1-1.

Changed a spot in 1-1 to prevent the player from clipping with the rollin' badge.

Fixed a handful of minor colored pixels for Mario's sprites.

Changes:

Added Multiplayer. Player 1 controls Mario and player 2 controls Cosmic Mario, with both having their own partner.

Added Badges & Badge Shops. There are 3 types of Badges, from which you can choose one of each from when starting a level.

Added Color Palettes to Mario as obtainable Badges.

Added Spicy Daredevil. To activate, enter the pipe unlocked after beating 1-Village, and talk to the NPC inside the area.

Added a Course List & Fast Travel on the world map.

Added 2 new original music tracks.

Added 2 new achievements.

Added a new page to the art gallery.

Nearly every main level has had changes in their level design, mainly being made shorter or having setup changes.

Ambient sounds have been added to the levels & world map.

Mario now starts sliding down a wall automatically upon pressing left/right once. You can also press jump when touching a wall to immediately wall-jump.

Improved certain player physics.

Added a ''Yoshi's Island'' style throw option for Starry. This makes the partner controls similar to Yoshi's Island egg throwing.

Added a ''stricter backflipping'' option. You can now change it so you have to also press up to perform it.

Added the option to disable music popups.

Added backflipping to the cat suit powerup.

Made jumping off a wall with the cat suit easier.

Added reflections on the World Map on high graphics settings.

Made it so you can no longer start from a checkpoint via the world map to be able to obtain a Daredevil Badge.

Break time levels no longer have Daredevil Badges.

Improved the small bumper hitbox in 1-7.

Redesigned the Dolphin Race in 1-7.

Made Dolpho able to slide on grass for a longer time.

Changed the design of the switch blocks.

Changed the design of the filter blocks.

The Goombooter boss fight received some small changes.

The World Map has been optimized to run better.

A wind effect has been added to 1-2 & 1-7.

The text on the results screen now animates.

The Nep-Enut no longer immediately resurfaces upon hit.

Dolphins are now squishy.

Some other visuals/graphics were changed.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed a bug where the end of level jingle would not play properly sometimes.

Fixed a bug in 1-8 where sumo bros could clip through terrain with good timing, softlocking the player.

Fixed a bug where ground pounding into a bubble in 1-? would make Mario continue to ground pound unintentionally.

Fixed an oversight in 1-1 where you could get softlocked.

Fixed an oversight in 1-4 where you could get softlocked.

Changes:

Added Daredevil Badges. For clearing a level in Daredevil mode, a badge will appear on the level in the world map.

Made ground pounding more reliable, by still allowing you to ground pound while holding up. You can still cancel a ground pound by tapping up.

Made the final section in 1-8 slightly easier.

Made Blotch attack less frequently in the final section in 1-8.

Doubled the frame window of allowing to jump on land with Dolpho.

Added a recovery block at the start of the Dolpho section.

Made the Dolpho section easier.

Made it clearer where the shard is during the Dolpho section.

Made the Frog Suit in 1-4 required.

Made the final setup in 1-4 slightly easier.

Updated the level design in the second section of 1-4.

Fixed a bug where after taking damage on spikes in 1-6, you wouldn't take damage again afterwards.

Fixed 1-7 in time trials mode where the ending would softlock.

Fixed a bug where you could unintentionally talk to an NPC while riding Dolpho.

Fixed a minor visual bug with the heart block in 1-8.

Fixed some missing/wrong tiles.

Changes:

Added an ''assist'' mode, which makes Mario's max HP 6, instead of 3.

Added a ''daredevil'' mode, which sets Mario's HP to always be at 1.

Added a ''carefree'' mode, for if you just want to play through the levels without worry.

Made the Goombooter boss fight easier.

The screen now darkens when you unfocus the window, rather than displaying a ''Pause'' text.

In the secret level, the time left after beating said level now displays milliseconds.

Made one part easier in the latter half of 1-6.

Tweaked the second section in 1-7 to make it a bit easier.

Made the dolphin ride section in 1-7 a little easier, and made it more clear how the controls work by talking to the Yoshi at the start.

Slightly adjusted the volume of the level unlock sound.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed a bug where during the partner tutorial, Mario would sometimes unintentionally face the opposite direction, making it impossible to continue.

Fixed a bug where the giant bomb sound during Goombooter's boss fight would continue to play after the boss was defeated.

Fixed a bug where if you collected the Rainbow Star too quickly at the end of 1-7, it would cause the game to softlock.

The star effect now stops immediately after getting a Rainbow Star.
